I choose the cutting diameter of a chamfer bit according to the width of the cut because it has a direct impact my workpiece and the finish quality I need to achieve. When selecting a bit, I consider the size of the features I need to create and and correct bit for my CNC machine. Using a larger diameter bits is great for heavy material removal and wider cuts, while smaller diameters give you greater precision and are suited for more detailed work. As an example, the RC-2370 offers a substantial 3-1/8" diameter for large adjustable chamfers, while the RC-1126 Carbide tipped CNC ball end bit features a more moderate 1" diameter with a 1/2 inch radius for versatile applications. Having a wide range of cutting diameters in my shop allows me to do exactly what my project / job needs, ensuring that it is completed on - time and with a perfect outcome.
