The number of flutes on a core box bit determines the smoothness of the cut and the speed at which material is removed. Two-flute bits gives you a smooth finish and great chip removal.Which is perfect for most woodworking applications, I use the Amana Tool 45938, Amana Tool 45942, and also the Amana Tool 45944 they give me a great curved bottom .Having more flutes will give you a very fine finish, for most users the two-flute design gives you clean cuts and good material removal . I rely on these quality bits for great on time finishes and my customers agree.
