Having a bearings on router bits allow you to guide your cuts along edges or against a templates, improving control and accuracy in many applications. Many core box router bits do not feature bearings, as they are designed for freehand or CNC use where an edge guide is not used, not having a bearing allows for greater versatility in groove placement and depth. In my shop I have used the Amana Tool 45920 and Amana Tool 45903 for my CNC machines work rather than relying on a bearing. If you need a guided routing, consider using an edge guide/ Template wnd a bearing guided bit. Having a wide variety of quality bit styles and uses makes your shop or project move smoothly to its finish.
