The number of flutes will determine the finish cut on the job . More flutes as in the 3 or 4 fluted bits will give you a much cleaner cut and is usually used after a 1 fluted bit cuts out the project . The Spektra coating keeps the bit sharp longer and cooler when using it . In my shop I use only the Spektra coated bits for long uninterrupted service and great job outcome.
