Choosing the right countersink angle is the most important part of how well the xxxx head fits flush with the angled hole. The most common angle is 82°, which is standard to flat-head screws and provides a perfect clean space for the xxxx head to seat on.
In my shop I like and use the Amana Tool AMS- 307 2 pc set, it is a countersink and a same size plug cutter for either covering the xxxx with the same type wood or embellishing it with another darker or lighter wood.
