A core box router bit is used for cutting rounded grooves or channels, also known as flutes, into wood or other materials. It creates a concave, half-round profile, making it ideal for decorative work, sign making, and producing rounded slots or hollows. In my shop I do alot of cutting board type projects and the core box bit is the tool for perfect grooves every time.
