To adjust the pressure of a quick clamp, squeeze the trigger handle to increase the clamping force on the workpiece. To reduce the pressure or release the clamp, press the release lever or button, which loosens the jaws. It makes clamping much easier because you hold the work piece while you tighten the clamp with the other.
