A 60 tooth circular saw blade is typically used for making smooth, fine cuts in wood, plywood, and laminate materials. The high tooth count reduces splintering and tear-out, making it ideal for finish work such as trimming, cabinetry, and cutting moldings. It is not recommended for fast or rough cuts through thick lumber. In my shop if you use tools and blades incorrectly intentionally you will be looking for a job quickly. Safety is the key to a productive shop and that's the Law of my shop.
