Trim routers have limited power and depth capacity compared to full-sized routers, making them less suitable for heavy-duty or deep-cut tasks. They are best used for light-duty applications like trimming, edging, or laminate work. Additionally, their smaller size may lead to less stability during use. In my shop if you use a tool incorrectly and you break it you buy another exactly the same or better.
