Most routers use either a 1/4-inch or a 1/2-inch shank size for their bits. Some routers can accept both sizes with the use of different collets. The shank size you need depends on your router model and the type of work you are doing. In my shop I carry a wide variety of bits in both shank sizes and only buy quality bits for uninterrupted service and on-time delivery.
