A ripping blade is used when cutting wood lengthwise, along to the grain. It has fewer teeth with deep gullets, allowing for fast, efficient removal of material without burning the wood. Use a ripping blade whenever you need to make long, straight cuts along the grain. I only use the Amana Tools brand blades for the best finish and quick clean cuts.
