To prevent circular saw tear out,on a crosscut use a sharp, fine-tooth blade and cut with the finished side facing down. You can also apply painter’s tape along the cut line or score the line with a utility knife before cutting to minimize splintering. The main thing is use a quality blade for the best cut , I use only the Amana tools brand blades for the best finish and uninterrupted service.
