When sanding, it is important to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles to protect your eyes from dust and debris, a dust mask or respirator to prevent inhalation of fine particles, and gloves to protect your hands. Additionally, wearing hearing protection and long sleeves is recommended if using power sanders. In my shop we use the Trend Airshield Pro Faceshield Dust protector and it works great besides having a great dust collecting system too.
