Router bit finishes refer to the coatings or treatments applied to router bits to enhance their performance and durability. Common finishes include uncoated (bare steel or carbide), titanium nitride (TiN) coating for increased hardness and wear resistance, and diamond coatings for superior longevity and smooth cutting. These finishes help reduce friction, resist heat, and extend the lifespan of the router bit. In my shop on my CNC I use the SPEKTRA coated bits for great performance and long life of the bit.
