A circular sander or orbital sander is a power tool used for smoothing and finishing surfaces, such as wood, metal, or plastic. It uses a round, rotating sanding pad to remove material quickly and evenly. This tool is commonly used in woodworking and DIY projects for preparing surfaces before painting or finishing. I have 3 orbital sanders in my shop and they are workhorses of finishing , all have Dust collection attached for a safe work area.
