A circular sander, often called a disc sander or orbital sander, has a flat, round sanding pad that spins in a circular motion. It usually has a handle on top and a power cord or battery pack. The sanding pad is attached to the bottom using the "Hook and Loop" system where sandpaper discs can be easily replaced as you move up the grit sizes.
