The most aggressive sander is the belt sander. It uses a continuous loop of sandpaper driven by rollers, allowing it to remove material quickly and efficiently. Belt sanders are ideal for heavy-duty sanding tasks, such as stripping paint or leveling rough surfaces. I have only one belt sander in my shop and it is not used to often, to flatten work pieces I use my planer handheld option or free standing machine option .
