The kerf width of a circular saw blade is the thickness of the cut that the blade makes in the material. It is typically determined by the width of the blade's teeth and usually ranges from about 1.5 mm (0.059 inches) to 3.2 mm (0.126 inches), depending on the type of blade. The kerf width affects how much material is removed and can influence the precision and efficiency of cutting. A Quality kerf blade is priceless in the shop for all the reasons above and in my shop I use the blades available from Amana Tools and have yet to an problem with them.
