A thin kerf blade is best used when you want to minimize material waste, such as when working with expensive or limited stock. It is also ideal for saws with lower horsepower, as it requires less power to cut through wood. However, it may not be suitable for heavy-duty cutting or when a perfectly smooth finish is needed. It all comes to this a Quality blade will always perform better , its sharper and stay sharp longer with no burn marks . In my shop I use only the blades available at Amana tools for uninterrupted service .
