Dovetail router bits are used to create dovetail joints, which are strong, interlocking wood joints commonly found in drawer construction and fine woodworking. These bits cut precise angled tails and pins that fit together, providing both mechanical strength and decorative appeal. Dovetail bit are used in many ways as in the Microjig systems for clamping options and I use these bits in my shop to create jigs and secure work spaces on my bench.
