Yes, you can use a router on edge banding to trim the excess material and achieve a smooth, flush edge. Make sure to use a flush trim bit and work carefully to avoid damaging the edge banding or the underlying surface. When doing so it is always correct to tale your time and use a quality bit for a smooth clean finish . In my shop I only use Amana Tools bits for the perfect outcome and uninterrupted service.
