The Carbide 3D Shapeoko BitZero uses a slightly different design where it touches the outer edges of the block in order to center the bit whereas the BitZero V2 uses what is known as a Cylindrical Bore to auto-center the tooling into the bore for proper and more consistent probing. The Carbide 3D Shapeoko BitZero is also taller than its shorter and more streamlined V2 version.
