The four main types of screwdrivers are Flathead (or slotted), Phillips, Torx and Square. Flathead screwdrivers have a single flat blade, Phillips screwdrivers have a cross-shaped tip, and Torx screwdrivers have a star-shaped tip and the square has a square a square hole and is used in Canada mainly. Each type is designed to fit specific xxxx heads for different applications. I have found that the Torx and square head work the best.
