Using this tool for sign and furniture text CNC carving. The runout of the insert tip results in a flat bottom text Amana Tool 45712 Carbide Tipped V Groove 90 Deg x 5/8 D x 5/16 CH x 1/2 Inch SHK Router Bit
Runout of the tip measures approximately 0.025". When I use a solid carbide 90 degree tool using the same measurement process I see less that 0.005" runout of the tip. Using this tool for text that has smaller features doesn't work. Results are a wider cut than expected.
I have experimented with different inserts from Amana thinking maybe it was just the insert. No improvements. It seems like the xxxx hole is just a little off center on the tool side.
