Common problems with radial arm saws include difficulty maintaining accurate alignment, leading to imprecise cuts, and the tendency for the saw to drift or wander during use. Additionally, they can pose safety risks if not used properly, such as kickback or accidental contact with the blade. Regular maintenance and careful setup are essential to address these issues. In my shop there was a radial arm saw that came with some other equipment I bought and it was the very first machine that left my shop . To me it was a hazard waiting to attack the minute the operator's mind wandered .
