The radius (R) defines the curvature of the profile created by the bit, directly impacting the edge finish and style. A larger radius produces a softer, more rounded profile, perfect for decorative edging, while a smaller radius creates sharper transitions for more defined details. For instance, the RC-1126 and 49706-CNC both feature a 1/2" radius, suitable for common round-over and ball-end work. Having a variety of radius options ensures you can match the bit to your customers desired finish. In my shop carbide tipped chamfer bit are the only ones I use and quality is the only tools I use for that uninterrupted service and tool life.
