Insert material impacts the bit’s durability, cutting performance, and suitability for different materials. Carbide-tipped inserts, like those in the RC-1126 and 49706-CNC, offer excellent wear resistance and are suitable for wood and composites. Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tipped bits, such as DRB-418 and DRB-417, provide extreme longevity and excel in cutting abrasive materials like composites and non-ferrous metals. With these choices, you can select the best insert material for your specific workload and material type.Remember quality bits will perform better and last longer , in my shop I only use the Amana tools brand for uninterrupted service and perfectly completed jobs.
