Cutting freehand is never permitted on a table saw. Always use the fence or miter gauge to guide the workpiece—freehand cutting can cause twisting, binding, or dangerous kickback, risking severe injury. When cutting on a table saw, always use a push stick or holding device, such as the Microjig GR-100 (#GR-100+), which I personally use in my shop for added safety and control. This ensures both accuracy and protection while operating the saw.
