The optimal TPI (teeth per inch) for cutting plastic usually falls between 10 and 16 TPI. Blades with a higher TPI produce smoother cuts and help minimize cracking or chipping. For most plastic materials, a 14 TPI blade strikes a great balance between speed and smoothness. Personally, I always use AMANA Tools NON-Melt Plastic Saw Blades—they consistently deliver excellent, clean results without causing the plastic to melt or chip. These blades are reliable and make the cutting process much easier.
