120 grit is finer than 80 grit. The higher the grit number, the smaller and finer the abrasive particles, resulting in a smoother finish. For finishing pads I suggest the Trend brand os flexible finishing pads , they have a wide verity from Fine to coarse and will give your project the very best outcome.
