It would be possible to put a bearing on the shank of the Amana Tool 53808 Carbide Tipped Finger Grip 5/64 R x 1-31/64 D x 53/64 CH x 1/2 Inch SHK Router Bit to use this with a template. However, you would need to find a bearing and collar that is combined shorter than 1/4" as this is the allotted space between the top of the profile and the K line of where the part sits inside the collet.
