The most common end mill is the square end mill, also known as a flat end mill. It is widely used for general-purpose milling applications, including slotting, profiling, and plunge cutting. Square end mills have a flat cutting edge that creates sharp, 90-degree corners in the workpiece. I have used in my shop the Amana Tool brand CNC router bits and they have given me uninterrupted service for many years of creating.
