Combination saw blades are designed to perform both ripping (cutting along the grain) and crosscutting (cutting across the grain) tasks, making them versatile for various woodworking jobs. General purpose saw blades are similar in versatility but may not be optimized for either ripping or crosscutting, instead providing acceptable performance for a wide range of cutting tasks. The main difference lies in their tooth design and specific optimization for different types of cuts. I have found that good Quality saw blades make my projects come out great and with less sanding or correcting bad cuts.
