A 7 1/4 inch circular saw is generally better for most users because it can cut through thicker materials and offers greater cutting depth and power compared to a 6 1/2 inch saw. However, a 6 1/2 inch saw is lighter and more portable, making it ideal for smaller projects and easier handling. The best choice depends on your specific needs and the types of projects you plan to tackle. In my shop I have the 7 1/4 and 12 inch on the different saw there . The Amana Tool line of blades are my choice for quality blades and have not failed me yet.
