We do not have a diagram of the Next Wave 20160 3HP Water Cooled Spindle System internal spindle motor cooling passages but the water passages do run top to bottom next each other around the motor until exiting the motor. We suggest back flowing the spindle motor (liquid will pass ether way through the spindle there are no checks or valves) with distilled water. If that does not clear the passages compressed air should be carefully tried to clear the blockage. If a mineral build-up is suspected we suggest a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar to dissolve the minerals.
Typically a particle of something was ingested into the pump and sticks in the narrower passages of the spindle motor and back pressure with compressed air usually clears the blockage.
