The five types of tools are measuring tools, cutting tools, holding tools, driving tools, and striking tools. Measuring tools are used to determine dimensions, cutting tools are for cutting materials down to size, holding tools grip objects tightly while you work on it, driving tools insert or remove fasteners, and striking tools deliver force to an object. There are many other tools in a shop that also make creating better.
