Does the Sliding Crosscut Table Attachment attach/detach easily? I don't have enough room to keep it attached.

I would say that the process is pretty easy, but just requires a little bit of effort. You don't need to completely disassemble it to remove it from the saw, but you will need to re-square the fence each time and align in at 90 degrees each time that you are re-installing it to your machine. One thing I would recommend is making a large setting triangle to help with speeding up the 90 degree alignment process once you want to reinstall it to speed up the process.
