A 82-degree countersink is more common, especially in the United States, where it matches the standard flat head xxxx angle. But there are other degrees available like 49 degree, 100 and 45. The 100-degree countersink is less common but is sometimes used in aerospace applications. Most general hardware and woodworking use 82-degree countersinks that is more readily available to consumers.
