One of the countersinking mistakes include drilling the countersink hole too deep or too shallow, which can cause fasteners to sit to high and exposed or too deep with less wood to hold it.. Using the wrong size or type of countersink bit can leave a space around the head of the xxxx making it a "sloppy" unsecured grip of the wood parts.
