An Bit in a CNC machine is a replaceable cutting tool tip, usually made of materials like carbide or High speed steel. It is tightened onto a tool holder / collet and performs the actual cutting or shaping of the workpiece. Inserts can be quickly changed when worn out, increasing machining efficiency and reducing downtime. There many different Bits to choose from for many different carves and creations. CNC work is amazing and I'm glad I started creating this way.
