The best tool to cut melamine is a table saw fitted with a high-quality, fine-toothed carbide-tipped blade, such as a blade designed for laminates or plywood. To minimize chipping, use painter’s tape along the cut line and cut with the finished side facing up. For smaller cuts, a circular saw with a similar blade can also work well.
A quality blade will amke the cut cleaner and more precise, here is a link to quality saw blades for that.
