When using a router, you generally **push** the router away from yourself along the wood. Always move the router in the opposite direction of the bit’s rotation—called "against the cut" or "climb cut"—to maintain control and get a cleaner edge. Never force a Router because you will heat up the bit and cause it to get dull.
