To cut aluminum with a circular saw, you generally want a blade with 8 to 10 teeth per inch (TPI). Finer teeth help produce a cleaner cut and reduce the chance of the material binding or chipping. Using a carbide-tipped blade specifically designed for non-ferrous metals is also recommended for best results.
