The difference between 18 volt and 20 volt drills is mostly marketing; both typically use the same battery cells, but 20 volt is the maximum voltage while 18 volt is the nominal voltage. Performance is usually similar, so it's better to compare features, brand, and battery life rather than just the voltage label.
I have in my shop a 12volt , 18 volt and 20 volt and I use them all in my creations , attachment play a great role in your creative ability .
If you buy and inferior drill to save money you will be buying another drill quickly.
