No, a router cannot be used as a planer because they are designed for different purposes. A router is used for shaping edges, cutting grooves, and decorative work, while a planer is specifically made to flatten and smooth the surface of wood to a uniform thickness. However, with special jigs, a router can perform some planing tasks on small projects, but it is not a substitute for a true planer.
If you need to Plane or Flatten a board then I suggest using a Slab Flattening Mill , it will work great .
