Hello. Thank you for your question. The Stepcraft OTK-3 is an oscillating tangential knife, meaning it oscillates (moves up and down) and has a tangential blade that rotates with the cut direction. It does not run as a simple rotary blade and is designed for cutting thin materials like .016" leather.
