Dear Baren,
Cement board is more durable than plastic, especially when it comes to withstanding weather conditions and impact.
Cement board is made from a blend of cellulose fibers, sand, Portland cement, and water, which gives it some flexibility and the ability to resist impact from hail or fallen branches. When well-installed and maintained, cement board can last up to 50 years.
Plastic's durability comes from its long molecule chains, which make it strong and flexible enough to withstand wear and tear. However, plastic can be susceptible to damage from severe weather, such as hail, which can cause it to crack or break.
Given these differences, I wouldn't really recommend this blade for cutting plastic sheets. I was looking at 7 1/4" blades for plastic but all of them have a 5/8" bore. I would recommend something with a larger diameter in case you are needing the 1" bore size.
Thanks,
Kevin
