When testing out it is always best to start with 1 X diameter of the tool for your depth per pass.
Optimize VCarve speed on Shapeoko XXL: ideal depth-per-pass and settings for secondary bit? 15°, 30°, 45° and 120° Solid Carbide Spektra Extreme Tool Life Coated Engraving Router Bits for Signmaking
I am trying to figure out what I should be setting my depth per pass at. Trying to make a simple star with this using a secondary but to clear out the flat section. Taking 1hr 41min to run just the vcarve portion. How could I speed this up?? Using a Shapeoko XXL and vcarve desktop.
