Best router parameters for crisp edges on clear plastic — effect of increasing RPM to 24k–28k? Amana Tool DRB-421 Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) Tipped Single Flute Down-Shear 1/4 D x 12.32mm (1/2) CH x 1/4 Inch SHK Straight Plunge Router Bit
We're trying to get very clear edges on clear plastic and are wondering what would be the best parameters? We're currently going with 30ipm, 30 plunge, at 18000RPM, and a .01" WoC, which is giving us a smooth finish at least. But do you think maxing out at 24000RPM(our router can go up to 28000) might give us the crystal clear finish?
